Björk – Orkestral – with the Hamrahlíð Choir

Experience Björk’s extraordinary music in a completely different light with Björk Orkestral, recorded during her acclaimed concert series at Harpa Concert Hall in Reykjavík in 2021.

This release captures the 24 October 2021 performance, featuring the 50-member Hamrahlíð Choir, conducted by Þorgerður Ingólfsdóttir, alongside musician Bergur Þórisson on organ.

The performance places Björk’s distinctive compositions in a breathtaking choral setting, with much of the set drawing from her groundbreaking 2004 album Medúlla — an album famously built around the human voice and unconventional vocal arrangements.

The result is atmospheric, haunting and beautifully immersive, bringing familiar Björk songs into an entirely new sonic world.
