What a day! Our second Record Store Day, and our first in the bigger shop, was everything we hoped for and more.
We were absolutely delighted to see so many people and loved meeting so many new customers throughout the day. Thank you all for your support—it means the world to us and made the day truly special. ❤️🎶📀
There were some releases we were both incredibly excited to see on the day. Even though we didn't manage to get copies of every release ourselves, it was wonderful to see so many people leave with the records they had been hoping for. Seeing customers find those special releases and share in the excitement is one of the things that makes Record Store Day so memorable for us.
The day also coincided with an open day at Pollard Yard, which made it even more special. It was especially exciting to see so many of our customers explore everything Pollard Yard has to offer and discover the fantastic community of independent businesses and creatives based here.
We would also like to extend a special thank you to our friends who kindly supported us throughout the day.
Jamie did a fantastic job welcoming and chatting with everyone in the queue, Leon was invaluable in helping prepare orders and keeping everything running smoothly, and Brad did a brilliant job covering the day across our social media channels.
We couldn't have done it without you all, and we're incredibly grateful for your help in making the day such a success.
The biggest thank you goes to you, our wonderful customers. Hosting a Record Store Day event was one of our ambitions when we first opened the store, but to build on our first one and make it even bigger and better has surpassed anything we could have wished for.
